An innovation becomes standard! The mirror taximeter - a taximeter, which is completely integrated in the rear view mirror of the taxi - is a worldwide innovation. It offers many advantages to the user and sets new paces in electronic design and distribution for the whole taximeter market. The automatic luminosity regulation coupled with the self-acting dimming EC mirror glass guarantees an optimal readability at every light. During nighttime, for example, luminosity is decreased to avoid dazzling the driver. At direct sun insolation however, luminosity is increased to a maximum to display the fare clearly visible. The mirror taximeter offers an esthetical pleasant solution. The displayed fare can be seen very clearly from every seat. When switched off (OFF mode), the taximeter is invisible. The mirror taximeter is available ex works from the vehicle manufacturer (can be ordered when buying a new vehicle) or can be supplemented by a HALE partner. When buying a taxi package the connections for the mirror taximeter and the cable for additional periphery like HALE thermal paper printer are mostly existing ex works from the vehicle manufacturer.

The quality receipt

The graphical thermal paper printer prints different font widths, font sizes, italics and high resolution bitmaps. Company or dispatching office logos can be printed on every receipt with up to 20 footer lines. The TPD-01 offers fast and high resolution printouts and perfect graphics thanks to grey scale effects.
The special printing head control offers perfect results - resolution, temperature and printing speed are optimally adapted to the original HALE thermal paper. This paper is characterised by an extended temperature range as well as a special coating to resist environmental influences (oil, sun, etc.).

HALE technology

The low current consumption already corresponds to future automotive standards. The HALE TPD-01 only consumes current during printing (automatic wake-up via interfaces) and is remains sleep-mode otherwise.

Ideal operation and transparency

The 3-coloured LED display indicates the printer status:
• green - ready for printing
• red - end of paper
• orange - data transfer
• dark - autosleep mode
Separate keys for 'paper feed' and 'paper out' allow comfortable operation.
The easily visible paper roll on top of the printer allows the driver to see how much paper is left and facilitates the exchange of rolls.
